Digital Workshop & Photo Contest
12th
Annual Workshop - July 13-20, 2013
Advanced
Workshop with Jack
Davis July 20-27
Come
for one or join them both!
We've
been running workshops for many years and this one will
be the biggest and best of them all with lots of fun,
prizes, photo pros and surprises! Here's
your chance to get all your photo questions answered
and improve your underwater photography skills.
Everybody is bringing cameras to capture
the beautiful reefs of Cozumel, but many don't really
know how to use them. This workshop is designed to
show you how to use your digital camera and get the
best shots possible when shooting underwater.
No camera is too big or too small! Not only is this
workshop a lot of fun, but
you'll learn all about how to improve your
underwater photography by shooting better and
improving on what you've captured by using
Adobe Photoshop.
Check out our photo
scrapbook for snapshots and our YouTube.com video
slideshow of the activities from previous
workshops.
Your
instructor and host is Bonnie
Pelnar.
This will be Bonnie's 36th trip to Cozumel and she
knows where and how to find the best Cozumel has to
offer
and can show you how to capture it with your camera.
In
addition to the presentations, slide shows and seminars,
Bonnie will be available to dive with you each day.
We will set up a special photographer's
boat, so if you wish to dive with the rest of the
shooters, you are welcome to come along.
At the end of the week we'll
be having a photo contest with awards and prizes!
If your would like
to attend please contact
Bonnie to reserve your spot. A $100 deposit
is required. We can not accept walk-ins
that have not
contacted
Bonnie in advance.
Special
Advanced Workshop with Bonnie Pelnar & Jack
Davis July 20-27
 For
the more advanced digital photographer and videographer
we have added a second week-long workshop
featuring both Bonnie Pelnar and Jack Davis.
Jack
is one of the world’s leading experts
on Photoshop, as well as himself being
an award-winning photographer. Jack is
coauthor of the bestselling guide to Photoshop, The
Photoshop Wow! Book.
His latest
book, How to Wow: Photoshop for Photography,
showcases the process of going beyond what
was shot, to crafting what was experienced.
This
workshop will focus on topics like the
latest camera RAW
conversion
features of Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom for
underwater photographers, processing video
from your SLR, point & shoot, & GoPro cameras,
and advanced shooting and lighting techniques.
Both Bonnie and Jack will be diving with you
every day.
You can join either workshop
separately or attend them both. There will
be a small bit of overlap in the topics
covered, such as the introductory presentation
and Photo Composition presentation, but the
majority of the topics will be new.
If your would like
to attend please contact
Bonnie to reserve your spot. A $100 deposit
is required. We can not accept walk-ins that
have not contacted
Bonnie
in advance.
Course prerequisites: You
must be a certified diver with intermediate
to advanced diving skills to attend this workshop.
The coral reefs are very fragile, so we want
to be assured that you have your buoyancy under
control before you decide to dive with a camera.
If you are comfortable with your buoyancy but
haven't dived in a while and would like a refresher,
a course in buoyancy control will be available
through the dive shop on Saturday and/or Sunday
before the workshop begins. There is an extra
fee for this refresher course. Its highly recommended
if you're not comforable with your buoyance
while carrying a camera. |
